Ben and Steph met in Pittsburgh, PA when they were in graduate school, Ben for Organic Chemistry and Steph for Materials Science and Engineering. Ben proposed then promptly decided to leave with his Masters degree to pursuit winemaking. The dreamer in this relationship, he wanted more than a life of science - he wanted to be outside, speak Spanish, and pursuit the ultimate combination of art, science and passion - winemaking. Steph, the ever logical one thought his passion was pretty cool and figured being married to a winemaker would make for an interesting life. Ben and Steph have been in Oregon since 2014 and have two kids, and a dog.

Ben has worked in Chile, Napa Valley, and Oregon wineries including winemaker positions at Monitor Estates.
