Our Vineyard Partners

Authentic wines start with grapes that reflect the unique characteristics of the site on which they are grown and the people that cultivate them. We source from and collaborate with select vineyards that support sustainable growing practices. Like every wine, each vineyard has it’s own story to tell, see below for some highlights from our vineyards.

Gemini Vineyard

Finite Cellars Vintages: 2024, 2025

Location: Laurelwood District within the Chehalem Mountains AVA

Elevation: 500 feet

Soil type: Laurelwood

Area: 16 acres of 26 total acre estate planted to Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gamay Noir, and Chardonnay

Certifications: LIVE and Salmon Safe

Vineyard Highlights: Gemini Vineyards is farmed by Luke and Emily DeHayr with a strong commitment to regenerative and sustainable practices. Gemini has been LIVE certified for more than a decade, farming primarily by hand with minimal intervention. A portion of the estate is set aside for native woodlands and there are several acres of open pasture for grazing livestock, connecting the estate to the surrounding ecosystem. To achieve optimal vine balance between vegetative growth and fruit ripening, a Scott Henry quad trellis training system is employed dividing the canopy into two fruiting zones (pictured above). Finite’s Pinot Noir comes from mostly own-rooted vines in the Northwest Block planted in 2013, a clonal field blend comprised of 50% own-rooted Pommard, 33% own-rooted Dijon 777, 13% own-rooted Wädenswil and 4% Dijon115.

RPG Vineyard

Finite Cellars Vintages: 2024, 2025

Location: Eola-Amity Hills AVA

Elevation: 485-625 feet

Soil Type: Thin, rocky volcanic basalt based soils

Area: 25.5 acres of mostly Pinot Noir with a small amount of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc

Certifications: LIVE

Vineyard Highlights: David Paige farms RPG Vineyard which is situated on a rolling east facing slope on the Eola-Amity Hills eastern edge. The soils of the site are thinnest and rockiest at the peak of the ridge that cuts across the estate from the Northwest to the Southeast corners. The Pinot Noir for Finite comes from along that ridge crest, from Blocks 2 (Dijon 777) and Blocks 3 (Dijon 667). The Block 2 fruit brings structure and tannins to the wine where as the Block 3 brings bright fruit. Due to the earlier ripening nature of this site within the Eola-Amity Hills, the tannins are characteristically rich and silky.

Issimo Vineyard

Finite Cellars Vintages: 2024 (Laurelwood Chardonnay cuvée), 2025

Location: Laurelwood District AVA

Elevation: 800-900 feet

Soil Type: Laurelwood

Area: 21 acres of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay

Certification: LIVE

Vineyard Highlights: Issimo Vineyard is owned by Maria Ponzi and farmed by the Ponzi family. The site sits farther up the north slope of the Chehalem Mountains just above the historic Avellana Vineyard which surrounds the Ponzi Winery facility. Planting of this new vineyard began in 2018 and the block 8 Dijon clonal selection where Finite sources Chardonnay from were planted in 2020. The characteristic Laurelwood soil of this site is composed of a basalt base with a loess (windblown freshwater silt) top layer.

Pearlstad Vineyard

Finite Cellars Vintages: 2025

Location: Eola-Amity Hills AVA

Elevation: 400-600 feet

Soil Type: Steiwer & Chehulpum marine sedimentary soils above fossil-filled sandstone and siltstone

Area: 18 acres of 6 different Chardonnay clones surrounded by a 69 acres brushy pasture and native forest

Certification: LIVE

Vineyard Highlights: Ken Pearlman and Dana Baker farm exclusively Chardonnay on this very unique Eola-Amity Hills site. The vines are grown on an ancient seabed with a southwest facing shoal where marine fossils break through the varying depths of topsoil. The vineyard is situated in the cooling path of the Van Duzer Corridor, a pathway through the Coast Range where cool ocean air rushes in from the Pacific. This south/southwest facing vineyard planted in 2017 sits on a dramatic sloping ridge surrounded by a native forest of firs, madrones, and maples. Finite sources fruit from Block 7, towards the bottom of the slope, planted to the Wente clone known for its small clusters and intense aromatic flavors. The terroir of Pearlstad further amplifies these characteristics restraining canopy growth and limiting crop to small, loose clusters. This allows for good sun exposure and air flow producing ideal phenolic ripeness and balanced acidity consistently from this site.

Folly of Man Vineyard

Finite Cellars Vintages: 2025

Location: Eola-Amity Hills AVA

Elevation: 390-520 feet

Soil Type: Volcanic clay-loam overlaying ancient marine sediment

Area: 16 acres of primarily Pinot Noir with smaller parcels of Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay

Certification: In transition to Biodynamic and Regenerative Organic, year 2 of 3 in 2025

Vineyard Highlights: The Folly of Man Vineyard, farmed Biodynamically by Tracy and Aaron Kendall, is nestled on the west side of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA in its own distinct micro-terroir. A volcanic clay-loam soil overlays marine sediment that is not far below the surface in many spots. The vineyard is located on a gentle swale that faces south-southwest and cooled by the Van Duzer Corridor breezes flowing into the Willamette Valley. 16 acres of the 48 acre estate are cultivated to vines, allowing natural flora and fauna to flourish on the surrounding land. Finite sources Pinot Noir from Block 1 along the entrance off Amity Road, planted with Dijon Clone 115 in the shade of old oak trees. Our block is often one of the later ripening on this already cooler Eola-Amity site.
